Dutch Music Monday: 6 February

This week on RNW's Dutch Music Monday Top 10 (week beginning 6 February 2012):
The Voice of Holland is slowly losing its grip on our Top 10, as runner-up Chris Hordijk tumbles from number one to number five, fellow finalist Paul Turner drops off the chart and Erwin Nyhoff (another finalist) drops to number nine. The only one who's managed to hold on is winner, Iris Kroes, at number two.
Chris Hordijk’s fall from number one means DJ duo Sandro Silva and Quintino return to the top spot with Epic. Meanwhile, two songs fell off the chart: Don’t stop me now by Paul Turner (2 weeks) and Nova Zembla by Armin van Buuren (4 weeks).

New entries:
10. I do – B-Yentl
Dutch R&B singer B-Yentl has become a frequent flier on our Top 10; I do is already her fourth hit single since last August. Her apparent success has raised some eyebrows, though – some people claim her string of hits on the download charts (she doesn’t receive any airplay, so she doesn’t feature on any other chart) is mainly due to her management and recording team buying and downloading her tracks en masse. Nothing has been proven, though, so let’s just say that she’s got enough fans to secure a place on our chart every time she releases a new track.
8. Waar is Kraan? – Kraantje Pappie
Kraantje Pappie - AKA Alex van der Zouwen - was once a promising judoka, winning several Dutch championships for under-20s. But he decided to switch to hip hop under the guise of Kraantje Pappie, which literally translates as "small tap daddy” (or "small crane daddy"), based on his childhood nickname, Kraan. Waar is Kraan? is his first hit single.
