Dutch Music Monday: 26 March

This week on RNW's Dutch Music Monday Top 10 (week beginning 26 March 2012):
While the upper half of our top ten remains static for yet another week, there’s more action in the lower half. No fewer than three new songs enter our chart this week: one from an established world famous DJ, one from a young talent from Dutch TV’s latest hit, and one from a judge from another TV talent show.
Three songs fell off the chart: Mag ik dan bij jou by Claudia de Breij (3 weeks), The A-team by Fabienne Bergmans (one week) and Waar is kraan by Kraantje Pappie (7 weeks).

8. Can’t stop me – Afrojack & Shermanology
Known in the gossip columns as “Mr Paris Hilton”, to many music fans he’s simply known as one of today’s world’s best and most popular DJ’s. Afrojack (real name: Nick van de Wall) teamed up with Shermanology, a Dutch three-piece of Andy, his sister Dorothy and their cousin Leon Sherman.
7. The climb – Vajen van den Bosch
The Voice Kids – the junior version of The Voice of Holland – first delivered a hit on our chart last week, as Fabienne Bergmans had a peek with her version of The A Team. This week, another young talent from the show emerges: Vajen van den Bosch. 14-year old Vajen is something of a veteran among the other kids in the show, as she’s already performed in musical shows such as The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. For her Voice Kids audition, she performed Miley Cyrus’s The Climb.
6. The rush of life – Van Velzen
Roel van Velzen is one of the coaches on the grown-up version of The Voice of Holland. His singing career was put on hold while he worked on the show, but he now returns to our chart with his latest single, The rush of life.
