Ai Weiwei says cannot leave China as bail term ends

Chinese dissident artist Ai Weiwei said Thursday he was still barred from leaving the country despite the expiry of a one-year bail term that included a stringent travel ban.Ai, who was released on June 22, 2011 after spending 81 days in detention, told AFP he had been handed an official order announcing the lifting of his bail term, but added the statement said he "cannot travel outside of China."
