Mladic in Tribunal's custody

The plane carrying former Bosnian Serb General Ratko Mladic has landed at Rotterdam Airport. From there the 69-year old was taken to the remand centre of the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia in Scheveningen. He is accused of genocide and war crimes committed during the Bosnian war in the early '90's.

The Falcon 50 jet was taxied into a hanger with Mladic still in the plane. Here he was handed over to the tribunal's authorities away from the cameras.

Meanwhile at least 100 journalists and cameramen have lined the road outside the prison in Scheveningen. Members of the public are also waiting outside the prison gates hoping to catch a glimpse of Mladic's arrival.

Too ill
Earlier today, a Serbian court ruled that Mladic was fit to be transferred to the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). His family claimed he is too ill to be face trial in The Hague.

Srebrenica
The former Bosnian Serb general is held responsible for ordering the mass murder of 7000 Muslims in Srebrenica in 1995 during the Bosnian war. He is also thought to be partly responsible for the siege of the capital Sarajevo. Mladic evaded capture for 16 years.
